of
artists/designers/photographers
at
a
different
location
each
month
(or
so) to shmooze and get some food and drinks in an
informal atmosphere. It's an excellent opportunity to
network with or get ideas/help from other professionals in creative
fields.
Where | Art Shmooze moves to
a different restaurant or bar or cafe each time.
When | Art Shmooze happens approximately every 4-6 weeks.
How much | Art Shmooze is open to members ($5), students with
valid ID ($5), friends of members and non-members ($10).

The conversation at the latest
Shmooze included: San Diego Comic Con, Easy Screen, iPhone apps,
ceramics, contracts, bleu cheese fondue, Planning BBQ (of last week),
Freehand vs Illustrator, printing in China, The NE Aquarium, online
printers and so much more.

Street Tavern
We had a great showing at the
Beacon Street Tavern. So much so that I forgot to take pictures until
the end of the night when just 6 people were left! We had Graphic
Designers, animators, a photographer, a fine artist, a few students and
an illustrator (that would be yours truly).
The conversation really varied
at this Shmooze.Overheard topics: Supermeet(.com), Design Museum
Boston, Kevin Hallinan's Art Biz talk last month, Learning to sell,
Using Linked In, Branded in Boston, portfolios, websites, informational

Another great Art Shmooze!
Conversations were all over the place with people talking about
self-promotion, social networking, cold vs hot nachos, Boston Comic

Thanks
to those who came to our (Post) Holiday Party Art Shmooze. We enjoyed a
great slideshow of artwork and artist quotes, a delicious cheese
platter and other food and some excellent conversation. We also shared
our portfolios and samples of our work.
